We’ve been working to update our fleet to all new vehicles. It is important that our patients are transported safely and in comfort, ensuring that we can reliably serve their needs. Medic 18 has just been placed in service. It is a 2014 Metro Express RP-90 ES, from Medix Specialty Vehicles. It was designed with Advanced Life Support and Specialty Care Transports in mind, ensuring that we have state-of-the-art capabilities for exceeding our patients’ care needs.
State of the Art Communications Center
Freestate Ambulance dispatchers use state-of-the-art methods to ensure the needs of our customers are met by extrapolating which mode of medical transportation is required when a customer calls into the Communications Center. These methods include programs approved by our Medical Director. All transports are logged into a confidential, password protected computer aided dispatch system to ensure quality control. The patient’s needs are well determined and the required transportation is immediately arranged. The process is automated by our proprietary software and sequential to every other transport we arrange.
Superior transportation in a timely and affordable manner
With a 24-hour central communications center, we are able to meet all requests for service. We have GPS enabled transponders which afford us the opportunity to utilize System Status Management for optimal efficiency in communicating with our transportation units.

The services we provide are as follows:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance
This service is made possible by our qualified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who are always present in our ambulances and provide a wide range of support measures.
They are highly trained professionals mandated to ease the transition of a patient from one medical setting to the other through compassion, understanding, and professionalism.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance.
This service is provided in combination with our top-notch Paramedics and EMTs, providing 24-hour service to meet the needs of our clients and customers. In addition to the BLS services, our Paramedics also offer cardiac monitoring, ACLS care, IV therapies, advanced medication administration, ventilator support, IV pump medication administration, and more.
Bariatric Ambulance
Our Bariatric Ambulance services are capable of meeting the needs of a patient population that often faces transportation challenges. We provide BLS or ALS care to bariatric patients, while ensuring their transport to the appropriate destination.
Specialty Care Transport
Recognizing the needs of our clients, we have added Specialty Care Transport services, making Freestate a full-service company for all of your transportation needs. Our Specialty Care Paramedics and Registered Nurses are highly trained and prepared to care for your most complicated of patients.
Wheelchair Van / Mobility Transport
Our Mobility Vans are fully equipped to handle transports of senior citizens and physically or mentally challenged patients who require our specialized mode of transportation. Our Mobility Vans are fully equipped, OSHA certified, and PSC certified to meet all State and Federal Regulations. Our Mobility Vans are safe, very comfortable, and modern to ensure movement to and from home/Nursing Home/Assisted Living with the same dedicated crew members who serve their communities in other volunteer capacities.
We provide high quality service for trips to the shopping mall, rehabilitation appointments, outpatient medical care, physician’s office, visiting families or friends, or other trips at the patient’s request.
We also offer sedan services.
